Unique not only in pattern, Malayer rugs are amongst the few rugs handmade by individual weavers. Each started by dying their wool before designing and weaving their one-of-a-kind pattern, finding inspiration from their surrounding neighbors. Their intimate beginnings, bold borders and all-over patterns have made them some of the most desired rugs today.
Areion has been antique washed, softening the colors to suit todays modern home. Abrash details, both striated and gradual, and distressed wear can be seen throughout the length of the rug. Visible patch seen off-center.
